2 – How Financial Statements Work Together

Introduction

With this FAST Graphs Value-You Academy Introductory Video we will be illustrating how financial statements work together and how companies produce their financial reports. The three primary statements are the balance sheet, the income statement, and the cash flow statement. The video will show how the statements are generated and how they interact. The video will also provide a great analogy of what role each financial statement plays in assisting the company or corporation towards managing sales, expenses, and assets to reach their financial goals.

We’ve engaged the association of two really renowned academics in their fields, two gentlemen, William (Bill) Kay and Nathan Mauck, that are going to help us demystify some of these important concepts. Some people consider these concepts boring. We are going to try to make those more fun, try to bring them to life and help you understand them better. This is a preview of some of that work we’re going to be giving you in the future.

We’ve got a very comprehensive syllabus and curriculum that we’re going to be covering, but this particular little preview here is we’re going to be talking about financial statement analysis and how we can help you demystify the financial statement. In this particular preview we’re going to have Bill and Nathan talk about how the financial statements work together, how you can understand the importance of each of the Big 3 I’ll call them – the Balance Sheet, the Income Statement and the Cash Flow Statements and how those things work together and how you can understand how to analyze them so that you can ultimately make better financial decisions.
